  Where can I suggest to a female friend with kids to get some help? She has two kids and a dead beat dad who is very abusive. Is there a shelter or group local in KC that will help her? This is unfamiliar territory for me. So if I can atleast get a suggestion from someone who has dealt with this I can take it from there.
