Dana Gallagher is a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP), a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) and member of the President's Choice International Superdogs Performance Team. Dana is the owner of Kinetic Dog Training, specializing in behavior modification and dog sports.
Vancouver born and raised, Dana worked in public relations and communications before following her dream of working with people and their dogs, which she has happily done since 2001. Dana trains using only scientifically proven, positive reinforcement-based methods.
As part of her professional continuing education, Dana continues to take seminars and workshops from leaders in their respective fields. In addition to teaching and training, Dana volunteers her time with various canine rescue groups as a foster home and behavioral consultant.
She also volunteers with her dogs doing pet therapy at a senior's residence, does demos with The Paws Squad, and as part of the BC SPCA Bite Safe program. She has adopted all but one of her own dogs from private rescues and animal shelters.
Dana's dogs have collectively trained in agility, rally obedience, flyball, nosework, musical freestyle, tracking, carting, herding, obedience, and freestyle flying disc.
