At Sugar Butter Eggs, we provide expert tuition in all aspects of Baking & Decorating.
These classes are limited to 8 students so that you all receive individual attention and encouragement. Each student receives an apron, workbook, icing tip set and piping bags. Take home everything you make and feel proud and inspired to create your own designs for your next special occasion.
Comprehensive and mini classes available include-
~Fondant work
Decorating and covering cakes in this medium can be notoriously difficult. In our beautiful surroundings, learn how to cover a cake, decorate with fondant with techniques such as quilting and ruffles, create flowers and characters for your own cakes and learn the often neglected art of how to make your creations come to life with colour and shading!
~Delicious Butter Frosting
Learn to cover your cakes perfectly using our delicious creamy frosting. Classes include colouring and piping, writing and filling.
Take home expert tips and recipes, have individual attention and professional tuition all the way through. techniques include these and many more; roses, basketweave, string, lacey work, grass, flowers, stars, pearl and shell borders.
~Cupcake Decorating
This is fun and extemely informative class where you learn several techniques listed above and recieve expert tips on possible baking mishaps, how to bake the perfect tiny cakes and share in discussions of all things cupcake :)
In this class you take home 8 different butter frosting designs and learn how to use everyday confectionary to make, out of the ordinary, fun and fabulous creations!

Too many things can go wrong with this delicious ingredient. Learn from my 25 years experience, the best ways to melt, temper and colour chocolate. Ganache is an incredibly versitile medium, that when made and used correctly, is an awesome addition to your icing repertoire. We offer classes strictly focusing on the delicious benefits and uses of white, milk and dark ganache to use as fillings, truffles, frostings, sauces and much more.
~Gingerbread Houses
My studio smell incredible during these classes!
Enter a Christmas winter wonderland of Christmas carols and fairylights and learn to bake and create a stunning centrepiece or gift. I will teach you everything you need to know to sucessfully recreate your house year after year. This class is held over two days to allow the gingerbread to 'dry'.
~Baking secrets of the Professionals!
shhh...in these classes you will discover why your baking sometimes is more disaster than delicious. How and why ingredients work together, using fabulous flavours to take your baking from yum to OMG THATS DELICIOUS, I WANT THE RECIPE! Together we bake several recipes and disccuss all aspects of storing, decotating and packaging your treats.
And take home a box full of goodies to share :)
