I just go on national rail enquiries or trainline.com and if you book in advance they are usually a bit cheaper, but depends where you are travelling from.

trainline.com online book them 2 weeks before you can usually get the for about £18 return I'm a bargain hunter and I always get cheap train tickets with trainline they are the best and you can reserve seats for that price like said 2 weeks before to get the best value

Like others said trainline.com I use them all the time a lot ! And the further in advance you buy the tickets the cheaper they will usually be e.g. First class return from Somerset to Caister in Sep cost me £61 !! Oh an another little tip with them is before you book the ticket on line it's worth calling them on the phone as well as the online prices aren't always the cheapest you can get !!

Trainline.com, check the price for a return and to separate singles, as doing it the later way sometimes comes out cheaper xx
Right I need to book train tickets to London closet station to O2 also can anyone recommend a hotel close to the arena and all attractions and lastly what is the cheap train sight??? A lot of info I know but any advise is greatly appreciated.xx

Trainline.com x
Louise W. replied:
A few hotels in Greenwich village, nicer place to stay and not far to the o2. Try train line for cheap fares. Or you could stay central near Bond Street, get on Jubilee line on tube straight to North Greenwich for the o2, would take about 25 mins xx
Can anyone recommend a good website for deals in trains from Glasgow to London?
David H. replied:
Trainline.com but if you're booking in advance easyjet is always worth a look. Nowadays between 1 hour check in, security checks, actual flight and then underground into London time diff between train & flying isn't that much but if you can get a cheap airticket flying is usually cheaper.

The train line have always been the cheapest for me.
