I have PTSD from a dental surgery gone horribly wrong when I was very young. Therefore, I need a dentist who will be patient and understanding. I also need one that can use nitrous oxide in their office because I need that for anything more than a cleaning or else I will freak out. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  It took me forever to find a good dentist when I moved here, and it’ll be a drive for you, but I highly recommend Dr. Welborne at [Welborne, White and Schmidt](https://wwsdental.com) in Huntersville. He’s fantastic, and along with annual visits, I got veneers of my top 6 teeth done by him and they look perfect. The office itself isn’t in-network for any insurance company though, you pay and then send the bill to your insurance for reimbursement, which does suck. Not sure if they offer nitrous oxides, sorry.
