  Clark and I are looking to adopt another dog after we get back from Hawaii. Rosie misses having a buddy and our home does not seem complete without 2 dogs. We're considering the Humane Society and Animal Control. Can anyone also recommend a shelter/rescue group? Our experience with the rescue org we adopted Crockett from was not good and we later heard from others who had a similar experience with that same group. We are very suspect of them now.

  I always feel like a visit to the pound is a good place to start. Mostly because the animals there don't have the lifeline of being in a rescue shelter. We used Rescue.org many years ago and didn't have any problems other than they didn't return phone calls right away.
