  Gardeners! I need your help! I need legitimate sources for the dangers of pre emergents. Our HOA has become out of control when it comes to weed sprouts on my front lawn. I am constantly pulling and maintaining my yard even at 8 months pregnant. I take pride in my earth and refuse to add harmful chemicals to my food and where my children play. I've got two days to write a statement and I need some ammo.

  Anyone have exterminator recommendations for south side of Indy? I have carpenter bees on my porch! Thank goodness not in the house...and I want to make sure they don't find their way in! Also interested in approx cost if you know.

  Don't waste your money, Kendy! Mostly they are harmless, but you want to plug the wood. Neither putty nor caulk will stop them. Just do a google search about stopping/preventing them, and you'll get a lot of answers.
