Hi all hoping you might be able to provide some advice on a few things as I'm very new to raw feeding:
1. When we adopted our four year old beagle he was overweight. The vet advised to use kibble and a lot of walking to help him drop the kgs. We did this and it worked really well and he got down to the weight he should be. But since we've been doing training with him (very treat based) and raw feeding he has gained the weight back if not more. We feed him twice a day which we would like to continue doing so but as it stands he gets, morning - 1/2 apple and a 1/4 cup kibble, night - chicken carcass and a 1/4 cup kibble. Obviously this is too much for him and wondering if I should just drop the dry food out all together?
2. I am in the south Eastern suburbs, could anyone recommend a vet who agrees with raw feeding as ours does not.
3. Any suggestions of great places in the south East to get raw bones for my boy?
Thanks!
