  All, to give you an update on our current status, we have $1196 left in our fund, with a couple of other donations possibly added. I won't be able to make another trip before the holiday season, so I'd like to get a conversation started about our next step. One idea that I had is that we could divide the remaining funds up among charities working in the areas affected by the storm. This is something we could execute within a day or two, once we determine the allocation of the funds. Or, in addition to the above or on its own basis, we could allocate some funds to a local family that we know. Or, if someone wants to organize a shopping trip, I can pass along the funds for any shopping that needs to be done. Please let me know if you have any suggestions...

  We could always donate to these guys...but it will probably go to the victims of the next disaster, not Sandy...but again, the most effective charity I have ever seen. http://teamrubiconusa.org
