Jack C. asked:Does anyone know of any vets that have the machine to do an echocardiogram? My dog has a tumor on the right side of his heart and his abdomen keeps filling up with fluid rapidly. It's costing me $700 every time I have to bring him to red bank vet hospital to do the procedure and I'm currently raising money to start his chemo therapy treatments to reduce the size of the tumor which will help the fluid build up. Vygantas, DVM, DACVO Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists She was great at resurfacing both of Abbey's eyes after having bad cornea ulcerations. Here's her info if you want to know more about her. Kristina R. Vygantas, DVM, Diplomate ACVO, is a graduate of the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. She completed an internship in small animal medicine, as well as her residency, in ophthalmology at Auburn University. Dr. Vygantas became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2001. Dr. Vygantas was in private practice in Birmingham, Alabama, for the four years prior to joining our team in July 2005. She is also on the board of the exam committee for the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. Her special interests include corneal surgery and wound healing, as well as equine ophthalmology.
