I need to see a doctor about my ear infection, but I can only go to one that accepts my EU Card. Does anyone know a doctor that can deduct from only that card?   The EU card covers emergencies, anything else would just be discounted then refunded: Either phone 070 346 96 69 http://www.smashaaglanden.nl/ and make an appointment with the "emergency" doctors, or go to The International Health Centre https://ihch.nl/ If you go to a GP (huisarts) for the first time, the best is to go to the closest one to your house and register with your ID at the same time. Without insurance it shouldn't cost more than 50€ Get well soon

  Thanks everyone for the input. Clinics are closed on weekends but there is the SMASH line http://www.smashaaglanden.nl/, (english explanations here: http://www.denhaag.nl/en/residents/to/Treatment-outside-office-hours.htm) available. You basically call and get triaged by a physician assistant. It is more expensive than clinics but refundable by your personal insurance. Quite efficient and very helpful! Be aware you often end up with paracetamol, but they do treat if your condition requires it!

I am just very paranoid and worried so i want to get it checked. However going to the hospital abroad without a local health insurance is always tricky (and expensive) Now I know that my health insurance (AOK) covers emergency cases. however I also saw on the website of the hospital westeinde that they charge like 375€ of sort of administration fee. does someone know if they always charge you that, whether you can get it reimburse etc.?

Also if you have a family doctor and call him now, he should leave a message where you can get help on weekend. Normally here is a member of Huisartsenpost or Huisartsendienst which works on weekend (try to google them).
