Curious where other London boaters' favourite breakfast places, cafés & cheaper eateries are along the Regents?
A couple of my favourites below:
(1) Kings Cross - 'Caravan.' Another boater told me about their hot chocolate salted caramel as soon as I'd moored up there and I went everyday. They do inventive breakfasts too (eg avocado, chili & lemon juice on toast). Their savoury muffins are incredible.
(2) Roman Rd. 'The Larder'. It's next to the Buddhist centre in Bethnal Green. Probably my favourite vegetarian place in London (I'm not a vegetarian but could easily be one if I could make stuff thus awesome. Gd coffee and lovely cakes too.
(3) Limehouse. Vesuvio. It's a short walk from the basin to Westferry but this lovely Italian run place is well priced and has great coffee - if you can find it.
(4) Broadway Market - don't know the name of it but there's a lovely independent coffee shop next to London Fields station .
(5) Limehouse again. 'Departures' - opposite Limehouse DLR. They don't open every day but I love this place -a community centre, film club (Friday nights, I think), cafe, cheap (quality) lunchtime eatery , 2nd hand bookshop and much more besides.
