Looking for a local mold expert We found what looks like black mold on the drywall in our new apartment. Management says it feels dry, so they cleaned it up and are going to paint over it. We need to be sure there’s nothing in the wall if we’re going to finish moving in. They’re going to get one of their guys in with a moisture meter, but we’d like to get an unbiased opinion (and we’re potentially willing to pay ourselves since we do like the unit and it could turn out to be nothing.)
Anyways, who do we call for this? Who is good?
Thank you!
UPDATE: A microbiologist at Environmental Initiatives said he doubts there’s enough mold to be worried about. He recommended we watch to see if it comes back. We’ve decided to trust his advice. Thank you for all the helpful comments!

Might want to contact the Tenant Resource Center to see what your options are. http://www.tenantresourcecenter.org/
Oh Merry Christmas to me! My landlord just gave us notice. How can she just kick out my family in the middle of winter?!? Anyone know a good lawyer? For free?

here is a good website - I've used this website before to write up documents when I have written my notice to leave apartments: http://www.tenantresourcecenter.org/
