  Please post anon. I was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap organisations I go to for someone to talk to, I feel very down, iv had on going problems with my family and my alcoholic partner, I feel extremely low, my doctor has referred me to the mental health people but I'm sure I'm only feeling this way due to circumstance. It would help a lot if I had someone to talk to I just can't afford the prices so any suggestion would be greatly

  Firstly, depression is so common these days so please don't think badly of yourself for feeling low. When you do feel low, little or nothing seems to appeal but you never know until you have tried.....within reason NHS Mental Health should be able to provide someone to talk to although you might initially be referred to their "Time-2-Talk" service which to me seemed a tad robotic. Especially to the groups i had experience with on Isle of Wight. Re your alcoholic partner, have you heard of or contacted Al-Anon, a group for partners and families of an alcoholic.
