Hello everybody! I need to fix our microwave, anyone knows who can help me? Thanks in advance!
Alan G. replied:
Ary, if you can read English well then I highly recommend this site which I have used many times to fix appliance problems myself, including three microwaves. Microwaves are not complicated. http://appliantology.org
Anybody have any hvac references that offer financing? Ac crapped out.

The Ac unit at my place is the origional circa 95... I know exactly what you mean about seperating the fan from the motor. Did I send you this :http://appliantology.org/ :before? I've fixed many household watchamagiggers over the years with these "guys" help. Also a huge inventory of appliance parts in case you need to replace the compressor + the fan...
Yuba Sutter friends: any suggestions on a good appliance repair person? My fridge won't make ice and I don't have time to monkey with it.
Kevin M. replied:
I've also talked to the Apliance Doctor, and they were quite helpful. I know you're handy Dan, but if you need more pointers, try the Appliance Samuri Web site - I've fixed a few washers and a fridge with help from posts there. http://appliantology.org/
Anyone know how to fix a dishwasher that doesn't drain?
Or should we just call a plumber? ;(
Dan L. replied:
The exit tube from the dishwasher can also be clogged. I usually pull it off and clear it. Use a shop vac to drain the water from the washer. The appliance samurai at http://appliantology.org/ has been invaluable to me.
If you want to try to fix it yourself, there's always http://appliantology.org/ - I've learned a lot about fixing my own appliances there. Electric dryers aren't very complex inside (basically a motor turning a pully and the drum plus a heating element) but gas is a little more complex. Might save you some cash if its a simple fix!
Any recommendations for a repair man or a place to get replacement parts for a maytag front load washer? The spring for the rubber seal has come out.
Matthew B. replied:
I have had good luck with this site both for instruction on how to repair an appliance and for parts. I have repaired our dryer two or three times using this site. http://appliantology.org/
Anyone have a dishwasher repair company/person they would recommend?

Our refrigerator fan has stopped working (freezer is working just fine). If hubby can't fix it himself, are there any suggestions for appliance companies that make reasonably priced house calls?
Scott F. replied:
so if you have a handyman http://appliantology.org/ free to use, techs will answer any questions and give walk-throughs, if you give me a heads up i'll log in personally to help local people (link approved by admin)
