  Look up NACA.org and mortgage counselor. It helps people get mortgages without using their credit score. I jumped the hoops and got my house this way.

  www.naca.org Join the regional section. Go to the annual event and host your own booth for that region. Take loads of music and presskits. Meet all the Campus Student Activities bookers. Leave with a binder full of names. Colleges have major funds available in the fall for the school year to pay entertainers. Maybe get a booth for yourself too and do a college comedy tour.
