  Does anyone know an Educational Psychologist local to Abingdon? Particularly one who might do private consultations. Our daughter is not making expected progress and school is doing its best to get someone to assess her via the normal channels but everything moves so slowly and we are wondering if there is a way we can speed things up and hopefully start to get to the bottom of why/what we can do to help her.   It may be worth simply asking for contact details for whoever the school or local authority uses and approaching them directly for a private consultation. http://www.achippp.org.uk/ may be useful.
