  John McHenry in Blue, TX (not inexpensive but good). Seems a lot of collector car owners use him. He did some work for me. 512-273-0163 or 512-586-0512. You might also check with Pio at B&A Auto Body and Paint in Del Valle (512-247-5096). Good price for nice work on a couple of my projects.

DJ Customs in Cedar Park is where I brought my car for an estimate, I got and he refuses to give me a written estimate because he's convinced the ins check will be written in my name and his shop's name, requiring him "to pay taxes on money he may never see". He also wanted to start work on the car right away even though I had no idea what the ins company is going to pay. The job would take 5 weeks, and also you have to add the time it would take to source and deliver parts, since he wasn't going to do that. It also is interesting that the estimate for Rocketdog to be painted was $2000 higher than for Robert MacKenzie's Spitfire. Same model and year, and mine has less to strip off it. I don't get a good feeling from him. Not to mention the week of non contact which has held up my claim a week for no reason.
