  Our building has the one the city sells for like $30 (or they used to). Have had it going on 4 years now, and it's been great. Composts everything we need it to, and we use the dirt created on tough lawn patches. Just need to make sure you have the mix right, as Alan mentioned. You can use newsprint (the regular print, not the ads) as "brown" too. If you can't find the cheap city bins, there's also this rebate deal: http://www.sustainablebackyards.org/
