I'm guessing the type of music that would be requested would be classic rock and/or jam bands (think Grateful Dead or Phish). He's not from NS and is not on Reddit, hence why I'm posting for him.   I used to bartend for weddings at Pictou Lodge, most wedding parties would choose to go to a DJ company called Master Blaster. Based on a google search it looks like they are going by www.novasoundsmusic.com. They were pretty good for taking song requests on the spot, and working with the wedding party to make sure they were playing the requested genre of music. One of the DJ's would always play a 'last waltz', they were a solid and fun company to work with. Great for playing typical wedding songs, also supplied light show and fog machine. edit: a letter - also company is based in New Glasgow, Melmerby wouldn't be an issue
