Looking for the average price of event insurance for a wedding/reception for 70-80 people. Our insurance company, whom we've been with for close to 15 years, quoted us $175, but I found a BBB accredited company on the web that's quoting me $98....
Hi. Looking for some quick advice: I'm a first time producer and the location where we're filming on Saturday is asking for proof of insurance. What is the standard practice for this and where can I get a temporary policy quickly?

Talk to these people and tell them you need production insurance. They'll ask you questions about what kinds of coverage you need (for location only, for location and equipment rental, etc.) The location may have an amount they want covered, but its more likely that they will accept the standard that the insurance company sets - which is based on their assessment of what you're doing and what your needs are. http://www.galescreek.com/
Any stellar recommendations for project/film/set insurance, in town, not in town...for a non-profit music video? I'd like to exercise my comparison skills and negotiating abilities to procure the best deal on this particular project. Thank you so much for your suggestions!!
