Hello!! I am looking into facility daycares in the area. i just wanted to know tuition that everyone pays a week and where. Thanks!

Caitlyn, it depends on in home or a center. You are looking at anywhere between 415-200/week. You can call the locations you are interested in and ask. Some do not list it bc they want to get you into the building first, and think you will like it and pay the tuition no matter what. Unfortunately, for some that is not the case and cost is a.top priority. My biggest recommendation is to make sure it is licensed and fits with what you and your family feel is right for your daughter. NAEYC.org has alot of info regarding what to look for. Good luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions for daycare? Interested in a "daycare center" or in home daycare. What do you pay per day? Ideally with easy access to the parkway. My husband and I both work north of Clark. Interested in clark, cranford, possibly Westfield depending on location in town. Another issue: it will only be for 2 days per week and not summer. I am a teacher. Thank you!!!

Westfield daycare center is the best! Nothing but rave reviews! https://www.facebook.com/WestfieldDCCNAEYC.org accreditation. Amazing staff
NOLA/Metry parents: any recommendations (or horror stories) on day-care centers in the Bucktown/Lakeview/Mid-City area? Thanks!

Take a look at the National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation site http://www.naeyc.org/accreditation/search Accredited Program Search | National Association for the Education of Young Children | NAEYC www.naeyc.org Accreditation of Programs for Young Children Since 1985, NAEYC's national, volun...tary accreditation system has set professional standards for early childhood education programs, and helped families identify high quality programs for their young children.See More
I'm looking for child care/ day care suggestions in the North Hills or Robinson area. Please me send any recommendations or suggestions. Thanks!

You can look on naeyc.org and search by area to see what daycare centers are NAEYC accredited in those areas. It's a hard accreditation to receive and I have never heard anything bad about the centers who have received it.
Anyone know of a quality daycare/day school for toddlers (and infants) the Cordova area? No home day cares please. And we'd like for Third and John Patrick to be in the same school.
Brandy H. replied:
Check for a NAEYC accredited center www.naeyc.org put your zip code in the search. Accredited centers usually have degreed teachers, lower ratios, etc. When you tour look for lesson plans and evidence of learning. A lesson plan should be posted and art on the wall should be current.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a GREAT day care for a 3 month old starting in March? I am on St. Ann's 18 month waiting list and I was just told the my company now has at 10 month wait list and can't get me in until May 2014. I have been on both lists now for 2.5 months with no end in sight. I have no idea what I am going to do.

You can search for programs accredited by the National Ass'n for the Education of Young Children at naeyc.org. Best of luck to you. :)
Can any of my Wichita friends recommend an amazing sitter/ daycare? I REALLY don't want to think about it....but Mommy has to get back to work soon. :(

See if you can find a NAEYC certified center in your area. I was lucky enough to find a place that was NAEYC certified and non-profit. To get that certification, the ratios cannot be more than 4-1 for babies. At my house, they were already 3-1, so it wasn't much different. You can contact them through here: http://www.naeyc.org/
Hi! I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for beginning a day care/ afterschool program. I'm currently a college student working on my BS in ECE. In the meantime, I know I must be doing something aside from that. Maybe join a seminar? Does anyone know of a organization in NY that could assist? THANK YOU!

Look up your local chapter of NAEYC at www.naeyc.org , look up your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency at www.naccrra.com , check your state requirements at http://www.ocfs.state.ny.us/main/childcare/default.asp and find your state chapter of the national afterschool alliance http://naaweb.yourmembership.com/ Good luck!

Hi Teresa, Another very good resource for investigating preschools here in the US is through the national certifying body for early childhood educators: National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). Their website address is: www.naeyc.org. Address: 1509 16 th Street N.W., Washington DC, 20036. They oversee accreditation of schools and provide listings of schools that have met their accreditation requirements. They have a catalog with LOTS of resources, Best of luck to you.
I know I probably don't have a lot of Nashville friends with kids but if you or friends of yours have suggestions on reliable daycare/nanny situations please fill us in. First timers over here!

When I worked as a Nanny in Nashville/Franklin, I worked with Nannies of Green Hills. But, I think word of mouth from Nashville area mommies works just as good as paying big bucks for an agency to find you a nanny. Or if you can find a person who is currently working as a Nanny in Nashville, she can most likely hook you up w/ ideas. Also, you can go to NAEYC.org or .com to find the highest rated child care centers in your area of town.
