John W. asked:I have a Charities Aid Foundation account with less than 100 GBP in the account and I am planning to close it. This is the amount left over after I have made some donations to other organisations. I am looking for UK charities that might benefit from either a small donation of fifty pounds or less that friends on here can recommend to me. It has to be a registered charity in the UK and I have to feel that it is a good cause. I would welcome people's input on this.
Nigel L. replied:If you can't think of one yourself, I might suggest Toynbee Hall, in Whitechapel, which works to help poor people in the east end, including with debt advice, which is pretty important I think. Their website is at http://www.toynbeehall.org.uk/
