  Looking for recommendations on the best stationary bike I currently started cycling this spring/summer and dont want to lose the progress I've made. I dont want a gym membership and cycling in the cold makes my lungs feel terrible so I think this would be a great option. I'm looking for something that will last for a long time, has a lot of data tracking capabilities or is compatible with apps or other accessories and in the price range of $500 or so. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? All is appreciated

  InsideRide E-motion rollers. Cost about $1200 last time I checked. Yes, it’s twice your budget, but having ridden a fixed trainer (KK Road Machine), I wouldn’t recommend anything else. With the smart version, you get erg and sim, floating rollers are easier on your undercarriage during long indoor training sessions, the quality and customer service are top notch, and you’ll hone your skills while you improve your fitness. Note: though the smart version estimates power, I link the bike PM for indoor rides, so consistent power readings indoors or out. Yes, it’s expensive, but imo, well worth it.   If you do not have plans to travel with it, ditch the trainer idea and go with a set of eMotion rollers from InsideRide (http://www.insideride.com/); i've had mine for five years now and have never looked back; they aren't your usual rollers

  If anyone is thinking about trainers or rollers, Inside Ride wins the best rollers award by a long shot. Larry Papadopoulos invented the 'supertrainer' treadmill for bicycles. His E-Motion rollers take advantage of the same physical properties that makes the supertrainer easy and soooo much fun to ride. Locally made here in North Plains.
