  Yes agreed stay by the finish line. Boston is very accessible by subway or 'T' so don't worry about where exactly your hotel is as you can easily get around. It's a beautiful city and lots of fun on race weekend. You should book asap as hotels sell out super fast! You can try booking through marathontours.com as they get some good deals on hotels.
