  ISO: Someone who has legal training but isn't a lawyer (I need free help) for papers I need filled out called "Dispense of consent" on a name change for my 3 yr old daughter. I don't have an easy time of getting around this city and getting someone in the courts to help me has been like pulling teeth. I can't even get a legal aid lawyer to help me (they say it's not part of their job and I've been denied twice) Is there anyone in here or know of anyone who can help me understand these papers so I can fill them out right? thanks.

  There is a summary advice council Paul Stoddary I think his name is at the family court on Devonshire Ave. He does 1/2 hr free appointments to give advice. The Family Law Information Center, at the same location is also helpful. This website also has a lot of resources: http://www.nsfamilylaw.ca/
