  Last month my refrigerator stopped running (and I wasn't even chasing it!). Called Apex Appliance Service 732-257-4590. The technician, Ray, came quickly and replaced the defroster control timer. Took less than thirty minutes. Didn't lose any food or, more importantly, beverage! Very reasonable. Good luck!
