About us
I would LOVE to be a part of your next celebration! I specialize in wedding cakes and celebration cakes.
ABOUT ME: I am self taught. I am not a store front. I am one person. One kitchen. One oven. Although I love to bake, cakes are only a hobby to me at this point. I work a “normal” job 40+ hours a week and am also a busy wife and mom of two boys. While I do take a lot of orders and try my best to accommodate last minute orders, I recommend ordering 3 weeks to one month ahead of your event/party and at least 2-3 months prior to your wedding. If you wait until the week of or a few days before, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to accommodate. I do not take same day orders. Fridays and Saturdays are my busiest days and dates are limited. The majority of orders are picked up evenings or Saturday mornings before 11am. I currently do not offer Sunday pick-ups, that is our family day. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE TO MESSAGE
HOW TO ORDER:
Quotes on celebration cakes and cupcakes are valid for 48 hours. Wedding cake quotes are valid for 7 days. By requesting and receiving a quote, please understand that does not mean that your date is secured. Until pricing is agreed upon, a deposit is paid and/or until I confirm that you are scheduled your date is not secured. Orders over $50 may require a deposit. If you are a first time customer or have previously cancelled an order, a deposit may be required. I cannot give a quote for a cake without knowing the design & number of servings. I would be happy to give you an estimate by private message, email or telephone if you know what flavors you like, an idea of the design, an inspiration picture and number of servings.
ALLERGEN WARNING: We currently do not offer gluten free, egg free or dairy free. Be advised that your cake may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, tree nuts and/or peanuts, soy, and other potential allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold “Allison Makes... show more Cakes” harmless for allergic reactions
ADULT and/or RISQUE CAKES: If I wouldn't show it to my mom, I am not going to bake it.
WEDDING CAKES - Wedding Cake consultations are available for a $25 fee. This must be paid prior to the appointment date. This consultation is for you and one guest. There is a $10 fee for each additional guest with a limit of four people total. You may choose up to 4 cake/frosting flavors you would like to try prior to the consultation. I do not provide fillings to sample during the consultation. RESERVING YOUR WEDDING CAKE DATE: To reserve the date of your wedding, we require 50% deposit of the cake cost. We DO NOT hold a date for you until the deposit has been received! We must receive the balance by the due date indicated or else the contract is null and void, cake will not be made and deposit will not be refunded. The date of your final payment is also the final date for any changes of size, style or flavors of the cake. We can add additional servings but will not go smaller than the agreed upon size. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.
PRICING AND DELIVERY: I can accommodate all budgets with cakes starting at $25 and cupcakes starting at $1.25 each! Pricing depends on the number of servings and complexity of the cake design. Pinterest is an amazing tool to get inspiration for cakes and to give me an idea of what you like. I can make "inspired by" cakes, but I cannot guarantee that a cake will look exactly like a picture.
DELIVERY: If ordering more than a 2 tier cake, I strongly suggest that the cake is delivered. The delivery and set up quotes are available, please ask at the time of booking. If delivery is not booked at the time of order, I cannot guarantee that delivery will be available. I cannot be responsible for damage to the cake or mishaps assembling after it has left my hands.
CUPCAKES:
I accept advance orders for one dozen or more cupcakes. Cupcakes are sold by the dozen and at this time, we do not accept orders for “mixed” dozens. (example 6 red velvet, 6 vanilla). Frosting designs, fondant toppers, cupcake picks and/or letters can be added at an additional charge depending on the complexity of the design.
CELEBRATION & PARTY CAKES:
I offer custom cakes for those looking for something a little more special for your celebration. I can do anything your budget will allow, from simple illustrations in frosting and fondant to 3D shaped cakes. All of our cakes are double layer cakes, made with 2 layers of cake filled with one layer of buttercream. The cakes are about 3-3.5" tall when finished. Cakes can be ordered and picked up any evening of the week with the exception of Sunday. Cakes start at $25 and up. Customization charges will vary greatly depending on the complexity of the design, number of colors used and the size of your cake, etc. These cakes are priced individually and must be ordered at least two weeks in advance. I am more than happy to be granted “creative liberty” in designing a cake to match your theme or event.
