  Hey guys! I am looking for a holistic/naturally minded doctor for myself. I had my mercury amalgam fillings removed about 3 years ago and was extremely toxic in mercury and I have had a difficult time finding a doctor that is familiar with mercury toxicity and how to detox heavy metals. With that being said I am pretty much positive that I have leaky gut and candida. Right now that is my main concern. I also have suspicions that I have thyroid issues. The poor digestion is getting to the point where I can hardly eat anything without getting a terrible stomach ache. Since adopting our two daughters within 13 months of each other my diet/detox has seriously been put on the back burner. The cleanness of my diet has also taken a big hit just due to finding the time and energy. I feel so overwhelmed and am not even sure where to begin. There is so much information out there that I am not sure which is right or what to do or which symptoms to address first. That is why I am looking for some help to navigate the waters of getting my health back. I have loosely started trying to follow a candida diet but have not yet committed fully. It has helped. But once again I’m not sure which book to buy or which protocol to follow. I know I need to get back on a good quality antibiotic and digestive enzyme. Any recommendations? I have also made some organic bone broth that I have been trying to drink. Anyhow sorry to unpack all of this, I guess I just needed to reach out for help and this seemed the best place to do so. If you have a good holistic doctor that is familiar with these issues and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg please let me know. If you have found any good resources/protocols that have worked for you that would also help tremendously. There are definitely some wheels squeaking that I need to take care of. Thank you all!

  I need help locating a doctor. I follow a Price/Paleo diet and have been working with someone to heal my gut and feel better. She had me get blood work and we discovered I had high LDL, so we got an LDL-P (particle) count which is off the records high. I know there are many causes of high LDL-P (leaky gut, bacterial infection, insulin resistance, detoxing and risk of cardiovascular disease). I am looking for a doctor that will have a holistic perspective to help me find the true cause and will look to treat more with diet than drugs. Thanks for any leads!

She is in Nashville. http://proactivemed.org/ Our pediatrician is John Wilkinson at Knoxville Pediatric Associates Weisgarber. He doesn't specialize in autism, but he is very supportive and works well with K. I know several SpNeeds parents that use him and they all agree that he is one of the few docs that "get it".
