  We have adopted two senior dogs - one from FC Animal Shelter when we first moved to our house in 2007 and she lived for 15 months (she was 14 when we adopted her) and then we fostered and kept Dani from AofA who was quite the character. There is nothing like a senior dog and the feeling you get from giving them the best possible last years of their lives. I highly recommend it for warming the heart!!
