  Can someone recommend a good joint supplement for a diabetic doxie? She recently started having hip pain so I took her to the vet last Friday. He took an x-ray that showed the beginning stage of hip dysplasia. He put her on a non steroidal pain medication and did a laser therapy treatment on her lower back and hip area. So far she is still limping. Not sure if the laser treatment actually helped or not like he said it would. (Doesnt seem like it has at all.) He also mentioned maybe putting her on a joint supplement.. However, they all have glucosamine which is not recommended for diabetics. She is 11 years old, blind, diabetic and my baby!! I hate to see her in any kind of pain. Any suggestions please??

  Hi, our dog is diabetic and blind--he doesn't have pain but we used a supplement for his cataracts from Natural Wonder Pets, http://www.natural-wonder-pets.com/dog-arthritis.html they have an arthritis supplement it might help with her joint pain.
