  Not exactly local but can highly recommend Hunslet Club www.hunsletclub.org.uk/ They have an activity camp in the summer holidays for kids aged 5 - 14 with lots of different activities to keep them amused and occupied. They run from 9 - 3 and the cost is £4 for a half day and £8 for a full day so incredibly good value. My daughter is too old for this now but has been for the last two summers and always enjoyed herself.
