  If none of the standards (roller/stick, massage, ice-freeze water in a styrofoam cup and use it to massage peeling down the top of the cup as it melts down, stretching) work, give ART a shot. I ended up doing that last year when I was in the middle of marathon training and afraid I was going to have to bail because nothing was working. It was completely amazing! Not to mention I was thrilled to avoid an ortho who will often default to a cortisone shot that will just mask the issue.
