  Southside animal clinic. The staff aren't looking for money grabs. My cat who has diabetes (now in remission) high blood pressure, heart murmur and cancer gets treated by dr Lori and now 1 yr after symptoms started he's still doing really well.

My dog loves the staff there and they're all really friendly and great at answering any questions you may have about your pets health :) http://southsideanimalclinic.org If you have other pets (ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters) the vet near Dundas and Clarke (I can't remember the actual name) is also really, really good! I personally will never go to Matthews (on Pond View/Southdale) again, they're pretty much the reason my cat is dead and were a little rude about it, but other people like them. I've also heard great things about pine valley animal hospital (on Wharncliffe), the photographer that does all my dogs photos and my business photos takes her cats there and absolutely loves Dr. Yelen.
