Please advise if you have any suggestions regarding a hospital. With extreme gratitude: "I think my daughter’s wound has become septic, despite antibiotics (fever, increased pain). I was wondering if your Bali friends could recommend the best hospital? She’s currently on the island of Gili Trawangan, and from my google mapping I think Kuta is the closest for hospitals. Kuta has Siloam and BIMC hospitals. But maybe she should be going to Denpasar?"

  I would suggest BIMC they will call in specialists and if need be she may need to go to Singapore it depends on exactly what's happening if she has this particular type of bacteria that eats tissue then it's a really big deal and then she will need to go to Singapore as the wrong combination of antibiotics can make the situation worse by the way BIMC and coelom are currently both owned by BIMC. Closer to Ubud I would pick Bali Royal hospital or Prima Medika. I am not in Bali at the moment but in the United States however if she can take a picture of the wound and you can send it to me in private messaging I can maybe try to give you an assessment of what might be the best suggestion in the meantime she should get out of the Gillies as soon as possible.

  I'd suggest the same like Bobbi Aqua's, go to BIMC or Bali Royal Hospital (BROS) in Denpasar. Your friend's daughter should go back to Bali soon and go to the hospital. Will give you phone number of BIMC or BROS asap (I should ask the numbers to my sisters who got best treatments at those hospitals few weeks ago).

  If Gianyar is too far, Toya Clinic in Ubud recommended another dermatologist recently, this one is at Bali Royal hospital and she was excellent, her tailor-made cream and the pills quickly did the trick. Dr. Nyoman Suryawati is her name and you can find the contact details of the hospital to make an appointment here: http://www.baliroyalhospital.co.id/ (KITAS holders get charged the same as local patients there, too)
