Got an impacted wisdom tooth. No insurance. Can anyone suggest a good dentist? Hi,
Thanks for checking out my post.
I've got an impacted wisdom tooth. I went to see a dentist during the OU College of Dentistry screening exercise earlier this year and the dentist I saw told me that I'd need to take it out eventually. It's the lower right molar that is causing problems.
The tooth is starting to hurt so it's time for me to get it taken care of. Thing is, I don't know any good dentists in the area and I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest an affordable dentist.
Thanks!

Just please do not go to one of the 'dental mills'. You know, Dental Depot, Aspen Dental, etc. I cannot even count how many times working in an office we had people come in from those places who were even more messed up, or how many times I saw the quality of care complaints. The suggestions given here are really good. There's a [resource guide for low/free care] (http://www.ddokfoundation.org/resource.asp) that Delta Dental of Oklahoma makes available for people in various situations that might need the assistance. May be worth a look?
