  Hi I hope this is okay to post. Maybe someone from here can help...I'm a fertility specialist, but am looking to compile an adoption/fostering resource list. I would love some of the most helpful/favorite websites you know of to support clients newly considering at adoption... Haven't found anything yet to offer as far as research starting points. Help! What types of resources do you suggest? (Websites? Names of agencies? Names of knowledgeable people?) What do you wish someone had pointed you towards earlier? Thank you for any ideas.

  I would direct them to the state department of health and human services (the name always varies by state). I learned a lot from the WV DHHR website. Also, it's free to attend the orientation for foster care if your state/county offers that. I was l ooking at the DHHR website one day and saw that they offered an orientation so I asked my husband and we both said "what the heck?" can't hurt to just go and listen! Now we're almost completely through our PRIDE classes and getting ready to start our homestudy!
