  Dr. Mercedes Rios-Young is a naturopathic doctor (www.drmercedes.net). There is also an integrative medical practice, a husband and wife team - Virginia Integrative Medicine (www.healthyvim.org). I have heard good things about both.

  Hi everyone, my family and I are relocating this August from New Jersey. There is five of us, me and my husband Matt, Jack(7) Daisy (4) and Miranda (1). Any recommendations for holistic practitioners would be greatly appreciated. We will need a pediatrician or family doctor that sees kids ( preferably one that is not quick with the prescription pad), dentist (no fluoride), eye doctor, and acupuncturist. Thank you so much and we are so excited for our move. Any other info you may feel we would like to know would be great as well. We will be living in Northern Albemarle county

  welcome Sandra, C'ville is a great place to live. In terms of holistic practitioners i would recommend Dr. David Brents who is a holistic chiropractor and has so many other offerings as well including energy work, cranial sacral, etc.. In terms of acupuncturists i really like Sarabeth Whedbee. Cindy Janechild is a former nurse practitioner and now practices cranial sacral work, Zero balancing, etc...
