  Looking for a bit of advice, looking at grass seeding our fields and have been advised to wait until ground temperature is above 7 at night as this is when grass grows which I am thinking will be achieved by the end of this week (hopefully lol) but then it has to left ungrazed for 6 weeks and then 2 weeks of very minimum grazing, is this correct ? Also on pricing up it appears to be around £60 per 5 kg and that you need 7kg per acre, again is this correct. If anyone has successfully grass seeded there paddocks before I would appreciate your advice and recommendation for suppliers of good quality seed around Eastbourne area, I know mole valley do but again the ratio of rye grass is not what I have been advised

  Excellent resource here: http://www.meadowmania.co.uk/ and here http://www.thegrassseedstore.co.uk/equine-grazing.html you can get away with less seed if you are over seeding (already have some grass but it's thin and low productive) yes you have to wait ages for regrowth, graze lightly then rest again, otherwise the roots don't have a chance to get established. You may have to divide your field and reseed in phases over the summer, you can see in the autumn too as long as you rest until spring
