  http://www.shepherdshotel.co.uk/ 5 minutes walk from Mitchell's Auction Co Ltd. Nowhere nearer. I have friends who stay there and they like it.

  The Shepherds hotel is just across the roundabout. I'll try find the link.....

  There is a travelodge over the other side of the roundabout to the Shepherds hotel. In Cockermouth itself is the Trout Hotel but there are a number of independent B&Bs. If you are willing to travel, there's a couple of big towns approx 5 miles away - Maryport and Workington, both of which have a number of hotel options too smile emoticon
