I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea on the internet service provider situation. Are there local companies that you would recommend/avoid? Should I just stick with the big brands like Comcast? I eat through a lot of bandwidth with big downloads, gaming, and streaming music and movies, if that might change your suggestions.   You basically have two options, Comcast or [Click](http://www.clickcabletv.com/internet). If you're going to be a brand new customer to Comcast, you're going to get the best deal. This means not transferring service from a previous location which I assume from your post you arent. The standard speed tier in most of their triple plays (tv, internet, and phone) is 50/10, but you can just get the internet tier alone by itself but they won't be willing to discount it by much since you aren't bundling. Keep in mind that Comcast will be doubling all their speed tiers this year. So that 50/10 will become 105/10 soon.
