Thanks for adding me. Tonight is my first night home with my baby after 4 days at emergency vet, diagnosed IMHA, 2 transfusions and hours researching and learning. I am sleeping downstairs on couch next to my 9 year old 1/2 springer 1/2 corgi. Listening to breathing and ready to bring him out for bathroom break when he stirs. His PCV was only 20 when discharged today and will recheck on Tuesday. Any vet (traditional, Chinese or naturopathic) recommendations near Seattle specializing in IMHA? Sweet dreams from the west coast. **Update:made it though night and he ate some boiled chicken this am. He was sent home with these meds: prednisone 20 mg twice day, cyclosporine 50 mg /twice day, plavix clopidogrel 75 mg/ half tab once a day and Pepcid anti acid 10 mg/ twice a day. He weighed 40 lbs when admitted. He had 2 cross-matched transfusion from same donor with pcv at 18 went to 24 back to 20 ...next transfusion up to 27 then back to 20 but clinically doing better so they discharged him. No known cause (tests eliminated tick, Rat poison, metal ingestion, urine infection, cancer in chest via xray) will have abdominal xray this week. Tested for Evans syndrome since he had slight bloody discharge from nose but came back negative even though platelets on low side. We think it was triggered by stress when he got lost 8 hours last Monday and thankfully came home. Tuesday night lethargic and Wednesday peed dark blood (scary) and not eating/lethargic. I could write a book and it's only been a couple of days. Ordering milk thistle via Amazon link, not sure where to get Sam-e, attempt Dodds liver cleansing diet and the slippery elm cocktail even though I can barely make rice Krispy treats. Thanks for listening. I am hopeful.
