  A friend of mine has an American Pitbull/Staffordshire cross (1.5yr old uncastrated male) and needs someone to walk him every day now as she's got a new job that doesn't allow her to go home at lunchtime any more. He's a very sweet dog (friendly and not aggressive at all with people or other dogs) but hasn't had any real training so pulls a lot when he's being walked. One dog walking service tried taking him out but decided he didn't fit with the pack because he has too much energy. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good dog walker and/or trainer who doesn't charge a fortune? She lives in the city centre by the way.

  It is obligatory in the Netherlands to get a basic puppy training. A basic course costs E60 euros and is highly recommended. No matter how friendly the dog's nature, pulling the leash means dominance and undermining. It is not hard to teach a dog not t o pull. I hope your friend will consider it.
