  Hello everyone! I'll be in Dahab in April, haven't been since 2013, I'm really looking forward to being back, seeing what's new and relaxing there. I just have a few questions. Is the Thai restaurant (Blue House) still there? I hope so! We want to do a try dive - any recommendations and ideas of price? How much will a taxi be to 3 pools? Are taxis funny about meters? Is there any issue about getting a transfer at night from Sharm airport to Dahab? Will we have to wait for a convoy? As we'll arrive in Dahab very early morning, we don't want to pay an extra night for our hotel. Is there anywhere really cheap where we can just put our bags/nap for an hour/shower, as we can't check in to our hotel until 2pm. Thank you in advance.

  Hi Katy Rosalie - The Blue House is still there - I definitely still recommend it. Great restaurant! For diving, I'd like to recommend my friend Sami Solla, who's an excellent dive instructor. For 3 pools, you're looking at around 50 LE. Taxis don't have meters here in Dahab, you agree on a set price beforehand. And I also recommend King Safari Dahab (www.kingsafaridahab.com) for transfers and snorkeling trips - we (it's run by my husband) offer transfers and round trips to all the main snorkeling sites and a host of other trips. Getting from Sharm airport to Dahab at night is no problem, however convoys are used day & night dese days. You're welcome to park your bags at our office when you arrive.
