  My husband and I are currently in Italy, searching for an unfurnished 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in Linlithgow. We're finding it difficult, not being able to view any properties in person tho we're happy to speak to landlords/agents via Skype. We could arrange to store our furniture temporarily, if we could find a short term (2-4 week or even 6 month) rental while we search locally, but that, too, is not proving easy. Any suggestions?   Hi Nancy For short term furnished rental, try this http://www.craigslodges.com/ There may be other similar cottages / lodges around, with the sort of flexibility you need. Alternatively, call the solicitor firms in Linlithgow, or The Key Place in Bo'ness, which covers rentals in Linlithgow, too. Mannings of Bo'ness is good for storage, although there may be similar in Linlithgow.
