Just because you don't need something doesn't mean nobody would; try offering it up on your local group, and you might find someone just round the corner who needs it.
I was given a toilet frame and raised seat after my operation. I've used neither and they're still in their wrappings. The hospital aren't allowed to take them back. Seems so wasteful. Does anybody know of someone that can make use of them or where I could donate?

Are there any charity furniture shops in the area that would take a sofa?
Toni H. replied:
Or you can join https://www.ilovefreegle.org/ and then offer it on there and someone in need will come and collect direct from you. It works for anything you no longer need in an attempt to reduce the burden on landfill. Hope that helps; lets face it, there's no shortage if people in need these days.
Hi All, I'm in search of a second hand lounge suit or a few couches. I appreciate this isn't a buying/selling forum so just asking for advice on where to look for such. With thanks Sean

I suggest trying www.ilovefreegle.org there are groups in Dursley, Stroud, Gloucester, Wotton. There is usually a sofa going free on one of them.
Hi, i want to have a go at making some things with fabric for personal use like cushion covers and dresses for my daughter. Does anyone have any advice on where to buy fabric from? Many thanks in advance x

FabricLand make a big thing of their website being 'unforgetttable'! They also have occasional discount days, eg, 27 th Dec they had a 15% discount voucher. 100% cotton is affordable at Fabricland, too. Abakhan Fabrics, Hobby & Home shops are awesome, e specially if you can visit, as there is a clearance shop near each - everything 3.95 a metre. The big shop at Mostyn is amazing - a building each for fabric, yarn, workshop and cafe! Also ask on your local Freegle group - ilovefreegle.org - people give stuff away there.
