Hey, is anyone up?
My street kitten Klaus (about 3 months old) is displaying some worrisome symptoms all of a sudden. He is having trouble drinking water, and a thick (like syrup), clear drool is coming out of his mouth. He also keeps moving his mouth in a stuttering sort of way (I've seen cats about to pounce on prey do this, but that's obviously not what is going on--he seems to be trying to clear his mouth of the syrupy-drool.) He was totally fine a few hours ago and is not agitated. He otherwise seems alert and energetic and I do not think he is running a fever. Does it sound like I should take him to a vet now rather than waiting until morning? If so, does anyone know an emergency vet I can call?
I've put the other kitten in a separate room and have segregated their litter boxes and water bowls. Is there anything else I should do in the meanwhile?
Thanks, in advance to whatever night owls are out there!!
