  Does anyone have any recommendations for caring dentists in the Eugene area, preferably? Jim and I don't want the kind that has an upscale, glitzy office whose staff (and the dentist) remembers you each time you come in only because they study the information in your chart before you walk in the door... "And how was your vacation this summer... uh... Mrs. Edwards?" We want a dentist who is truly interested in us as patients and knows us by name. (Are there any still left out there?) Our first dentist, Dr. Lamb, was that way, and we miss him a lot since he retired. We are experiencing problems with the one we have currently and want to make a change. Recommendations would be most welcome.

  We have been seeing Dr. Terri Baarstad at smile alive for the last 12 years, she and her staff are amazing! The dental hygienist, Chris, is just the nicest lady ever and they are very good at what they do. http://www.smilealive.com/

Our last hygenist would talk incessantly about all her deep dark dating problems, parenting problems, ex husband issues, her own dental challenges...while you are stuck with your mouth open unable to shout, "just focus lady and clean my teeth already!!!" We simply cant take another round. So... River Road area or downtown- who do you like out there to keep your choppers choppin?
