Does anyone know if they still do Sailboat racing on the lake on sundays? If so, where's the best land-based place to watch from? I have a toddler that's obsessed with boats and I think he would get a kick seeing them all out there..

If you bring him to Seattle, there is a model boat pond at South Lake Union. The Center for Wooden Boats (http://www.cwb.org) provides nice sailboats for the children to sail across the pond. The kids love it, running to meet the boat on the far side of the circular pond, then sending it back (and forth).
Has anyone ever gone sailing in Seattle? I'm looking to rent a keelboat out while I am there for an afternoon. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
