  All my curly haired friends out there (those i know in real life and those in cyber life)…do you get your hair cut? Do you cut it yourself? Do you ask for layers? I've had VERY FEW successful hair cuts in my life. Most stylists don't know what to do with curly hair, and most of them resent my hair because it can't be manipulated and overly-styled the way straight hair can. What do you ask for when you go to a stylist? what pictures do you show them? and if you cut it yourself, can you share any tricks with me? And if you live on the east coast, can you recommend a stylist? Sorry, vainest post ever, but i need some help.

  My housemate, who has beautiful (long) curly locks, says her sister is great with curly hair! I also went to her for my haircut & she was awesome-- also really convenient for you because she's in Noho one day a week. Her name is Rebecca Frenkel & she's at Glamourama.
